15 Days Down…60 to go!

I probably should not have written how many days were left in this round. Don’t want to mess with my head any more than usual! 😅 I’m proud of my progress in the first 15 days down though. 💪

The Past 15 Days

I’ve completed one book, The Power of One More by Ed Mylett, and I’m around halfway through book number 2, Winning by Tim Grover. Another of Tim Grover’s books, Relentless, is on my top ten nonfiction reads list. So far, I like Winning more than Relentless. I’ll update my list if needed!

Early mornings really have helped me get everything in my day completed. I mentioned in last week’s post about 75 Hard that I like to front load my day, and that still holds true. This is probably too much information, BUT if I drink too much water after 5 pm, I am up by 2 am with an urgent need to use the restroom. I like my full night’s sleep (if you count an alarm blaring at 3:30 am a “full night’s sleep” 🤣) so I definitely don’t want to wake up earlier than I have to!

The nutrition plan I’ve been using has me eating a lot of protein. More than I have ever eaten in my life before. This past week, after week 1 of feeling like I was eating too much, I was actually hungrier than normal. I’m definitely adjusting to this new way of eating. It feels A LOT counterintuitive, but I’m trying to trust the process and see where things go! I’m not weighing in daily as I have in the past. I could if I wouldn’t be emotionally attached to the result, but I’m definitely not there yet. I’m happy my coach is there to reign me back in where needed!

Upcoming challenges

Next week will be an emotionally trying week for me. My oldest kid is embarking on a whole new journey — COLLEGE — and this mom is feeling a little overwhelmed. Dorm move in is approaching very quickly, and even more challenging is fitting all of the requirements of this program into a day complete with a road trip and moving and setting up the room. I’m not 100% Type A, but I do have some tendencies in that direction (sometimes) so I’ve already been mapping out my 2 day stay in my head to see where I could fit everything in. And yes, moving a child into a room on the 4th floor with no elevator just might count as workout #2!

A recap

I’ve made it! 15 days down. Many more to go. But I’m taking it one day at a time. I’m doing what I need to do TODAY to make it successful.

I’m better than I was yesterday, last week, last month, and last year. I’m continuing my journey to be the best version of myself, and using all the tools in my arsenal to achieve that purpose. It comes with a lot of soreness, but even more satisfaction. Here’s to the next 60 days!
